What does a certified arborist actually do?
Diagnoses what is wrong with a tree, assesses whether it is likely to fail, and writes it up in a document you can hand to an insurer, an HOA, a buyer or the city. It is the difference between an opinion and evidence.
Do I need an arborist report for a permit in St. Johns County?
Often, yes. Many removal permits for protected trees require a written assessment from a qualified arborist explaining why the tree should come down.
Can an arborist report help with an insurance claim?
It is frequently the single most useful document in the file. It establishes the tree's condition, the cause of failure and the risk, in language adjusters accept.
Can a damaged tree be saved?
Sometimes. Cabling and bracing, crown reduction, root-zone work and pest treatment can buy a valuable tree many more years. We will tell you when it is worth saving and when it is not.
What does an arborist assessment cost?

Do you offer free estimates?
Yes — and in many cases we can give you an estimate right over the phone. Just send us the property address or zip code along with a few close-up and far-away photos so we can see:
- Tree height — include the sky so we can gauge scale
- Tree size — how wide is the base of the trunk
- Tree location — front yard, side yard, or backyard
- Access — is there a gate, fence, vehicles, or anything else in the way
With that information we can often price it remotely. If not, we'll come out to see it in person.
Do you have a service minimum?
Yes. Our tree trimming starts at $675 and tree removal starts at $850. If these price points are not in your budget, we are not the company for you.
