When is the best time to trim trees in Jacksonville?
In North Florida's climate, late winter through early spring (February–April) is ideal — trees are dormant, pests are less active, and new growth seals cuts faster. That said, dead, hazardous, or storm-damaged branches should be removed any time of year.
How often should I have my trees trimmed?
Most mature trees benefit from trimming every 2–3 years. Young trees may need annual structural pruning. Our arborist can recommend a schedule based on your specific tree species and condition.
Is tree topping a good idea?
No — topping is one of the most damaging things you can do to a tree. It creates large wounds, triggers rapid weak growth, and dramatically increases the tree's storm vulnerability. We never top trees and follow ANSI A300 pruning standards instead.
Do you clean up after trimming?
Yes — complete debris cleanup and removal is included with every trimming job. We chip or haul all branches and leave your property clean.
Do you offer free estimates?
Yes — and in many cases we can give you an estimate right over the phone. Just send us the property address or zip code along with a few close-up and far-away photos so we can see:
- Tree height — include the sky so we can gauge scale
- Tree size — how wide is the base of the trunk
- Tree location — front yard, side yard, or backyard
- Access — is there a gate, fence, vehicles, or anything else in the way
With that information we can often price it remotely. If not, we'll come out to see it in person.
Do you have a service minimum?
Yes. Our tree trimming starts at $675 and tree removal starts at $850. If these price points are not in your budget, we are not the company for you.
