904Tree.com works closely with both the St. Johns and Duval County permitting offices for residential and commercial tree removal permitting. Every situation is case-specific, but as a general rule any healthy tree over 11.5″ in diameter needs a permit and permission for removal from your local county or municipality.
If you are in Duval County and want to start the process, you can visit the JAXEPICS website to build an account and apply for a permit. For specific questions about tree permitting, we’ve had great luck working with Mr. Schutte at the Duval office.
